New customer, Bad Feelings.
I am a new customer and I have read different reviews online, over and over again, and they all happen to be recent ones even from January 2023, and it gives me a very negative and damaging view of the company and I feel something isn't right with the company.
The negative reviews centered around the same complaints, bad customer services, worst financial services, bad withdrawal of earning procedure, non-respectful customer service agent, unresponsive service agent, and the list goes on.
I am beginning to wonder if I had made an error investing with your company and wish to pull out my funds at the early stage when I can now.

Avoid ,totally useless
Had a fall in work july 2022 .It's now Jan 2023, and still, I'm having excuses on why they haven't paid out on my income insurance.
I dislocated my shoulder broke the socket ,broke my shoulder blade and my upper arm ,5 hour operation to screw it all together and a week in hospital.
Avoid taking out insurance with this company, totally useless.

It was a wonderful experience
It was a wonderful experience, a phone conversation, the person that attended to me explained in details, answered all my questions with patience and he delivered swiftly.

I’ll be opening a case with the ombudsman regarding my claim next week. It’s something I can really do without but unfortunately it’s the only way forward.

Do not recommend this company
I do not recommend this company for sickness/income protection policy they refused my claim and cancelled my policy for something that was not even related to the issue I had - they refused to give the premiums back.
I had to chase them to get updates - customer service is not good. I can see from other reviews customers have experienced the same thing.
Luckily I had another policy with a fantastic company that is straight forward with excellent customer service that put my claim through straight away without any issues.
I am very disappointed with my experience with Shepherds Friendly and would never recommend this company to anyone.

Awful company
So this is the 4th time shepherds friendly have asked me to change my review because they don’t like the honest truth. Told me I cannot name the person who cancelled my policy after 7 years of having the policy and never making a claim absolute moron. Made my first claim a month ago due to having surgery next month. Sent all relevant documentation they required ASAP and waited for an outcome. Got an email from a member of the shepherds team “waste of space and rude he was”. He stated they have cancelled my policy and will be keeping my premiums paid. Don’t let this company try and get out of paying the money you have paid to them in anyway shape or form. Avoid this company at all costs and go elsewhere who will help and support you when you need it. Currently taking legal action against them now and also got financial ombudsman involved……KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY EVERYONE
Do not invest with Shepherds Friendly
Do not invest with Shepherds Friendly, I have currently been waiting 4 weeks for a withdrawal and to close my account. Having jumped through hoops and sent them all my details 3 weeks ago to action the withdrawal I have still not had my money. They take days to respond to any correspondence and today they have told me they need a bank account statement to action the withdrawal after waiting for 3 weeks, they are a disgrace. AVOID.

Voucher non payment.
I as well took out a over 50's cover with a promise of a voucher but NOTHING after waiting 23 weeks then another 6 weeks on top, so beware. Also it was not a love to shop voucher it was from the Top Cashback site.Still no £55 how hard can it be on the 4 January 2023. FROM 10 May 2022

I’ve signed up to two accounts with Sheperd’s Friendly to take advantage of the Love 2 Shop voucher which I still haven’t received yet - The Junior ISA and Stocks and Shares ISA. I’ve repeatedly had problems with the direct debits set up not being debited on either the correct date / or not being taken at all / or a few days later. Why require a SO/DD to request the money to the account if the date isn’t going to be adhered to or the money even taken? Every deposit that there has been has been a manual deposit.
Just not good enough tbh!
